Instructions for Accepted Authors
Congratulations again on the acceptance of your contribution to the 2nd International Workshop on Low Carbon Computing, LOCO 2026. The LOCO 2026 proceedings will be published openly through arXiv. Each accepted full paper and lightning-talk abstract must be submitted to arXiv by one of its authors and linked to the official LOCO 2026 proceedings index.
To ensure your paper appears on the proceedings, please complete your arXiv submission by Wednesday, 19 August 2026.
Find your paper-specific details
The full list of accepted contributions and their assigned LOCO 2026 report numbers is available at Proceedings of the 2nd International Workshop on Low Carbon Computing (LOCO 2026)
Please locate your contribution using its exact title and copy the report number shown beneath it.
- Full-paper report numbers use the format: LOCO2026/PXX
- Lightning-talk report numbers use the format: LOCO2026/LXX
Please enter the report number exactly as shown in the index. Do not change its punctuation, capitalisation or numbering, as arXiv uses it to connect your contribution to the LOCO 2026 proceedings.
1. Create or verify your arXiv account
One of the named authors must submit the paper through their own arXiv account: https://arxiv.org/user/create
Please check your account as soon as possible. New arXiv users, or users submitting to a subject category for the first time, may be asked to obtain endorsement. Using an institutional email address may help with this process.
2. Prepare the final contribution
Please submit the accepted camera-ready version, not the original reviewed version.
Ensure that the submitted version:
- incorporates the required revisions arising from the review process;
- contains the final title, author names, affiliations and abstract;
- uses the approved LOCO 2026 format;
- stays within the relevant page limit;
- includes all figures, tables and references;
- has permission for any third-party material; and
- does not contain ACM copyright notices or ACM publication identifiers.
3. Upload the paper to arXiv
Log in to arXiv and select Start New Submission. For papers prepared in LaTeX, upload the complete source package rather than only the compiled PDF. This should contain:
- the main .tex file;
- all figures and images;
- the bibliography as a .bib or .bbl file;
- any required local style or macro files; and
- all other files required for successful compilation.
Remove unnecessary files such as .aux, .log, .out, backup files, unused figures and locally compiled PDFs. Carefully inspect the PDF generated by arXiv before completing the submission.
4. Select the subject category
Select the Computer Science archive and choose the primary subject category that most accurately represents the content of your contribution.
Authors are responsible for selecting the appropriate primary category. Suitable cross-list categories may also be added where relevant.
5. Enter the required LOCO 2026 metadata
Ensure that the title, author order and abstract exactly match the final paper.
Report number:
- Copy the report number assigned to your contribution in the Author Submission Index and enter it exactly in the arXiv Report number field.
- For a full paper: LOCO2026/PXX
- For a lightning-talk abstract: LOCO2026/LXX

6. Select a licence
We recommend: CC BY: Creative Commons Attribution
Authors retain copyright but permit reuse with appropriate attribution, and are also responsible for ensuring that the selected licence is compatible with funder requirements, institutional policies, third-party content and any intended later publication. Contact the proceedings team before submission if CC BY is unsuitable for your contribution.
7. Contributions already on arXiv
Do not create a duplicate submission if substantially the same work is already on arXiv.
Instead:
- Update the existing arXiv record with the accepted camera-ready version where appropriate.
- Add the assigned LOCO 2026 report number.
- Add the LOCO 2026 proceedings information to the Comments field.
- Send us the existing arXiv identifier.
8. Report your submission
Immediately after submitting, please complete the following form: [LINK TO SUBMISSION CONFIRMATION FORM]
You will be asked to provide:
- paper title
- LOCO 2026 report number
- submitting author
- arXiv submission identifier
- primary arXiv category
- your selected licence
Once the paper has been moderated and publicly announced, please update the form or email us with the permanent identifier, for example: arXiv:2608.xxxx
Please do not wait until 19 August to create your account or test your source package. Endorsement requirements, compilation errors and arXiv moderation may require additional time.
Acceptance by LOCO 2026 does not automatically guarantee acceptance by arXiv. Every submission remains subject to arXiv’s normal technical checks and moderation process.
Thank you for helping us produce a consistent, accessible and discoverable LOCO 2026 proceedings volume.
